Tips - English
English tips
-
Take 10 minutes at the start of the exam to read over the paper.
-
Choose the questions that you have most information on and can write most
about.
-
Allocate enough time for each section.
-
Underline the key words in each section.
-
Begin with the question you can answer best, as this will ease you into
the paper and make you feel confident about doing the exam.
-
Make sure you know your single text in detail as very specific and detailed
questions can be asked on it.
-
Make sure you don’t answer one of your comparative texts in the single
text questions as this means you will not be able to do the comparative
question properly and lose out on marks.
-
Leave ten minutes at the end to read over everything you have written.
